My Role:
Designer, developer
Brief:
Onboarding can be an overwhelming experience for new hires. While companies often invest significant time and creativity into how customers are introduced to their brand, that same energy isn’t always applied to employee onboarding.
Tools:
- Articulate Rise
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe Illustrator
- ChatGPT
The Solution:
I designed a fun, engaging microlearning experience using Articulate Rise for CrunchEase—a fictional snack brand created with help from ChatGPT. The goal was to create a light, approachable onboarding module that feels as enjoyable as the product itself. Here's how I brought that to life:
- Bite-sized and purposeful: This microlearning module gives new employees a quick yet meaningful introduction to CrunchEase’s company values, flagship products, and customer personas. It's intentionally short to fit seamlessly into any onboarding path.
- Playful, eye-catching color palette: Using Coolors.co, I selected a vibrant, snack-inspired color palette. I drew inspiration from existing snack brand websites, aiming for colors that would pop on grocery store shelves—and in a digital learning space.
- Relatable, joyful visuals: I incorporated video and photography assets that show people enjoying snacks together. When creating product-focused learning, I always keep the end user in mind and visible throughout the journey.
- Curved, friendly UI elements: To mirror the joy of snacking, I leaned into flowy, rounded design elements—like curved section breaks, organic shapes, and playful images of snacks. The result is a warm, welcoming interface that invites exploration.
